The Big Country is going to be seeing a huge influx of new residents over the next 5 – 10 years. The recent covid-19 crisis has caused many people living in metro areas to start looking for alternative living situations. Many of them will be working from home & will be attracted to less traffic, more space, less people & lower cost of living.
The benefit of listing on these site is the opportunity to reach these families & soldiers that are completely new to the area or have been abroad for some time. It is like the good ol’ days of the “welcome wagon.” When someone is on the outside, looking in to the area they potentially will be calling home, they are looking to get familiar with local businesses & schools. As these websites grow, they will be strategically placed as the first source of local information for new homeowners in the area!
The best part of advertising in these magazines is giving every family of the student athletes the opportunity to get a piece of memorabilia that is unlike anything else out there. HomeSweetAbilene.com doesn’t profit off the sale of the issues, in 2019-2020 season it operated solely on income from advertisers. The issues aren’t free, but they are priced as low as possible, for all families.
